Most building projects need more than one kind of dirt work. A new house in the Bitterroot might need test pits for the septic permit, a cleared lot, a driveway in, a foundation dug, a water line and a septic system installed, and the whole site backfilled and graded at the end. When those jobs are split between different contractors, somebody is always waiting on somebody else.
